According to Circular No. 232/2016 / TT-BTC dated 11th November, 2016 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the collection, payment and management of the use of the barcode numbering fee, the barcode numbering fee is specified as follows:

In case organizations or individuals receive a Certificate of Rights to use Barcodes after 30th June, they shall pay 50% (fifty percent) of the maintenance fee corresponding to each type of barcode numbering and barcode as prescribed.
- When submitting a barcode registration application, organizations or individuals shall pay fees and provide guidance on the use of barcodes according to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article.
- When submitting dossiers of application for certification of use of foreign codes, organizations and individuals shall pay a fee for registration (certification) of the use of foreign codes according to the provisions of Clause 2 of this Article.
- Upon receipt of the Certificate of Rights to use Barcodes, organizations or individuals shall pay the barcode number maintenance fee for the first year as prescribed in Clause 3 of this Article (the year the barcode was issued); for the following years, the deadline for payment is 30th June every year.

Note:
1) When making a transfer, please specify the establishment’s name, specify the type of fee (code fee or maintenance fee) and especially when paying the annual fee, it is necessary to include the enterprise code – according to the Certificate The General Department of Standards, Quality and Quality of Quality issues – into the transfer documents for convenience of monitoring (eg: 893 ……).
2) Barcode maintenance fee must be paid yearly before 30th June
